The *Golden Rule* of consigning is – Sell quality items at a fair price, just as you would want to buy for yourself! This is a win/win for all of us!! No Thank-You’s – We regret that we may not be able to accept every item that you bring in. Please do not take this personally. When we accept items we must take into consideration the needs of our clients and inventory selection. Our volunteers have been instructed at drop off to be very selective with the items they allow to be sold. We reserve the right to pull any item off the sales floor that we find does not match the quality standard that is required. Sometimes under our lights at check in we can see spots on a garment that a “soft home light” can not see. Our shoppers are interested in QUALITY not quantity.
KIDS Clothing -3 Savvy Sisters will be accepting seasonally appropriate infant – teen clothing items and accessories. Make sure there are no stains or tears. Freshly laundered,unwrinkled, in-style, brand name clothing is what we are all looking for! Please make sure all buttons, snaps and zippers are fastened properly. The garment should be hung so that the hanger is facing in the direction of a question mark (?). No tiny gold safety pins or straight pins. The card stock tag should be pinned in the upper right hand corner of the garment. If selling a shirt/bottom set, please safety pin the bottoms to the top of the shirt and hanger. Bows should be placed in a Ziploc bag and sealed with clear packing tape. Onesies always sell better in sets. See Tagging section for pictured examples.
Shoes - We will accept up to 10 pairs of your best clean and unscuffed shoes. If you feel that you have more than 10 pairs that would be accepted, email me at tiffani@3savvysisters.com for approval. Tie shoes together with cable ties, ribbon or string – no Ziploc bags.
Toys, Baby Gear and Furniture - If you are like us, it may be time to clean out the playroom! We accept baby gear and furniture, cribs (no drop down rails), infant and children’s bedding, toys, CDs,DVDs and books. No stuffed animals please. Baby gear and toys should be clean, in great working order and with all necessary pieces. Electronic items must have working batteries. Puzzles and games should have ALL pieces. Please check www.cpsc.gov for information on recalls. Toys must have all pieces attached in a Ziploc bag and sealed with clear packing tape. You must also use this same tape when attaching pieces to a toy. Books and puzzles sell better in sets. Wrap sets in Saran Wrap and clear packing tape to secure pieces. Use clear packing tape to seal CDs and DVDs shut. If we sell your CD/DVD and it is broken in the sealed case, your check will be deducted $25.00.
Bedding is sold in either infant or child sizes only. Please group your bedding and any accessories together in a clear bag with index card inside listing all pieces and the bedding size. The bag must be sealed with clear packing tape or cable ties. If needed XXXL Ziploc bags will work. Toddler beds, cribs, playpens, etc… must be set up for display onsite at the sale.
TEEN Clothing - (Think Plato's Closet) 3 Savvy Sisters will be accepting seasonally appropriate clothing items and accessories. We all like to get a bargain on those specialty boutique brands as well as Gap, J Crew, Loft, Guess, Ralph Lauren, Seven, Earl, Hudson, Under Armour, Nike, etc… Make sure there are no stains or tears. Freshly laundered, in-style, unwrinkled brand name clothing is what we are all looking for! Please make sure all buttons, snaps and zippers are fastened properly. Wire or plastic hangers are acceptable.
No gold safety pins or straight pins for the tags – the silver ones are what we are looking for. The cardstock tag should be pinned in the upper right hand corner of the garment. When getting your things ready to tag remember to make sure that the items are in “like-new” condition, are updated & “on trend” and have been purchased within the last 3 years. We only want to sell items that would still be sold in the stores currently.
Again, your items need to look NEW and fresh prints and styles that you could buy NOW in the stores.
**SUMMER AND WINTER SALES ONLY** - Home Furnishings - ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE! Make sure that your home furnishings are in clean, working and excellent condition. No chips, gouges, scuffs, etc… No small kitchen appliances please. We are looking more for decorative items such as sconces, lamps, wall hangings, furniture, bedding and such. TAGGING Savvy Sister Tagging Tips -
(below are some images of correct ways to hang and tag your items)
Use card stock only for tagging
*Silver safety pins – no small gold or straight pins allowed *Price your items at 25% to 33% of retail *Outfits sell better than separates *Seal Ziploc bags with clear packing tape *Clothes must be hung so that the hangers look like a question mark (?)
Wire or plastic hangers are accepted. Using card stock
paper, pin the tag to the top right hand side of the
garment - as you are looking at it.
***When it is 2 pcs, pin the waist of the bottoms
to the shirt at the top of the hanger. When including
an accessory, put it in a ziploc bag and seal with clear
packing tape. Pin the white cardstock tag thru the
bag and onto the garment in the upper right hand
side – as you are looking at it.
When hanging bottoms, pin the item at the waist and
attach the top of the hanger as shown. Use
card stock and attach the tag at the waist.
When you have a group of accessories, toys, etc., put
in the appropriate sized ziploc bag and seal with clear
packing tape. Attach the tag on the outside of the bag
with the same clear packing tape.
